W1HLO Participating in the ARRL School Club Roundup on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014

The Norwich Free Academy Ham Radio Club (W1HLO) aims to increase students' awareness of amateur radio, its uses, and its academic values. W1HLO was first established at NFA in 1944. As a member of the club, students will be able to:

  • Learn concepts for acquiring their amateur radio Technician Class license.
  • Participate in using different modes of amateur radio (e.g. phone, data, CW)
  • Participate in one yearly project.
  • Learn and apply math and science skills.
  • Use computers and programming with amateur radio.
