    FDC FD-150A HT

When using the HT, be sure to drain the battery completely (i.e., use the HT until it has no more power) before charging it. This will help prolong the battery life.

When charging the HT, make sure the HT is firmly seated in the charging cradle and the "Charger" light is red. When the light turns green, the HT has been charged. You can turn on the HT while it's charging in the cradle to listen and transmit.

You can extend the battery usage time by using the minimum power needed. If you can reach a repeater or another station at 1 Watt ("LO" setting) instead of 5 Watts ("HI" setting), do so. You can change the power level by pressing the F then 2 keys and use the < or > keys to toggle HI / LO. Then, press the PTT button to confirm the setting.

To program a repeater (e.g., N1NW: 146.730 MHz, - offset, PL 156.7) into the FD-150A as memory channel 01, do the following:
    1. Turn on the FD-150A.
    2. Make sure you are in VFO mode. If a memory channel (smaller digits) is displayed on the right, then press the VFO button to exit memory channel mode.
    3. Type in the repeater frequency with the keypad (e.g., 146.730).
      1. Alternatively, you can press the < or > keys to set the receive frequency . You can hold down the < or > keys to change the frequency quickly.
      2. To change the frequency step from 5 KHz ("STEP05") to a larger step (e.g., 125 KHz - "STEP125"), press F then *. Use the < or > keys to change the frequency stepping. Press the PTT button to confirm the setting. Don't forget to change the step back to 5 KHz when you're finished!
    4. Press F then 8 to set TX/RX difference value (e.g. 600 KHz which is 00.600 MHz). Then, type in 00600 and press the PTT button to confirm.
    5. Press F then # to enter offset mode. Then, press < or > to change the offset (e.g. -) and press the PTT button to confirm.
    6. Press F then 0 to set the transmit PL (displayed as "TC") tone. Use the < and > keys to set the PL tone (e.g., 156.7). Press the PTT button to confirm the setting.
    7. Press F then the VFO button to set the memory channel. Press the < or > keys to choose the memory channel (e.g., 01 as "SAVE01"). Then, press the PTT button to confirm.
    8. The repeater station has now been saved as memory channel 1. To get into memory channel mode to recall memory channels, press the VFO button to toggle between VFO and memory channel modes.
